Color Poster of Velvet Appliqué by Dr. Sirrku
M. Sky Hiltunen
In 1975, Dr. Sky was inspired to write a story while working
in the Teletaipole Group Home in Finland, entitled Mentally
Retarded: Born from Good Angel’s Tears. The velvet
appliqueé was created to illustrate that story and its
spiritual message.

“Muggy Do” Dickinson’s statement made when
she lectured in state institutions for
adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Finland during 1976-77 is available.

“The only difference between so-called ‘normal’ people
and handicapped people is that the so-called normal people’s
handicaps are not visible.”
